Changing Seasons
We all go through the necessary but dreadful wardrobe changes as the seasons change. Unfortunately, many folks forget some important seasonal items as we leave one home and head out for the vacation place . Create and sell warm hats or other small winter items, and then also simple summer sunshade items, that people can buy at convenience stores and gas stations as an impulse buy. You will need some racks to display your items and then get them into stores.
Providing these small, but important items, at convenience stores and gas stations is such a good way to sell a simple item that is needed right away, and if you make them fairly inexpensive, people will be willing to buy them instead of do without for the day. This means that the items don't need to be well made to last forever, just attractive and able to get them through a day or two until they remember the ones they have packed away and need to get out for the seasonal weather changes.
There is such a wide range of small items that you can change around during the year according to seasonal changes. Create and sell simple warm hats or other small winter items, then during the warmer summer month's offer simple sunshade and cooling items that people can buy at convenience stores and gas stations as an impulse buy. The trick to offering these items is offering them early enough into seasonal changes and offering a little bit of everything that people might forget when they run out the door in a hurry. They don't necessarily have to be trendy or drop dead attractive, they just need to be able to provide a certain amount of comfort at the time for the buyer.
You will need some sort of racks to display your items and then get them into these small stores. You don't want to take up too much space with your items because these stores tend to be very packed and have little room for more items, so try to offer a small display that can be restocked on a regular basis. If the stores see that your items are selling well and they can make a good profit from the sales they are more likely to give you more room too.
This could become a great idea for vending machine items too if you are able to make the initial investment in vending machines that could be put on the outside of store areas.
Be creative with the many different items that might appeal to people during the different seasons, finding wholesale sources for these items will be necessary for you too, in order for you to make a good profit. You also want to try to sell your items where there will be little competition, so look at independent stores and gas stations that don't typically offer these types of items to their customers. If you are able to make them money too, they will have no need to hassle with carrying the items themselves, it will be much easier for them to rely on you to do the job for them. Resources:
